DMCA Policy
Download Fonts Free respects the intellectual property rights of font creators, foundries, copyright owners, and authorized distributors. This page explains how to report material you believe infringes your rights and how we handle copyright notices related to font files, preview images, and listing content.
What to include in a takedown notice
If you believe a font listing, specimen image, file download, or related content on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice through the contact page and include enough detail for us to identify and review the material promptly.
- Your full name and a working email address
- The exact page URL or URLs that should be reviewed
- The font name or content name involved in the claim
- A description of the copyrighted work you own or represent
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf
How we review notices
After receiving a sufficiently detailed notice, we may review the reported page, remove or disable access to the material, request clarification, or take other reasonable steps based on the information provided. Incomplete notices may delay review.
Counter notices
If you believe material was removed or limited by mistake or misidentification, you may reply through the contact page with your explanation, the affected page URL, and any information needed to evaluate the request. We may restore access when appropriate after review.
Repeat infringement
Where appropriate, we may restrict, remove, or decline listings associated with repeated copyright complaints or unresolved ownership issues.
Important note about licenses
Fonts may be available under different licenses, including personal-use-only, freeware, shareware, demo, or commercial terms. A DMCA notice should address copyright ownership or authorization concerns. For ordinary license questions, usage permissions, or attribution issues, it is often best to review the font’s stated license terms first.
To help us process a copyright report faster, include the font title and the exact page URL in your message. For non-copyright issues such as broken files or preview problems, please use the regular contact page.
